TEEN CLASSES
AGES 11-18

Tectonic offers a positive framework and community to help youth grow into stronger and healthier individuals -- both physically and mentally.


Youth Empowerment

Our workouts are based on functional movements performed at a high intensity. These movements reflect the best aspects of gymnastics, weightlifting, running, rowing and more. Every movement can be scaled to the individual’s skill level. No experience is necessary.

We have a group of dedicated adults excited to mentor and train kids. CrossFit Level 1 & Kids CrossFit certification is required and every trainer/mentor has completed a thorough background check.


Structure

Our Teen classes follow a similar structure/movements as our adult classes, but time/range of motion/weights are adjusted appropriately for the individual athlete.

Teens will do do compound, multi-joint movements (better for fitness than isolation work). They will increase thier general athleticism and improve their abilities in practical tasks of daily life, from carrying groceries to hiking in the beautiful PNW. We help them accomplish this by:

  • Lifting and throwing objects (powerlifting, Olympic weightlifting, field events)

  • Running leaping and bounding (track events, trail running)

  • Increasing kinesthetic control and strength (plyometrics, gymnastics)

We use fitness to teach imperative life skills like perseverance, grit, determination, resilience, and confidence through teamwork, leadership, and goal setting to prepare our athletes to face the challenges life throws their way with grace, maturity, and strength.

15-Day Punchcard: $15/session

School Year Schedule: Monday-Thursday 4:30-5:15pm
Summer Schedule: Monday-Thursday 10:30-11:30am

Tectonic Strength & Conditioning is a proud supporter of Forging Youth Resilience (FYR-pronounced “FIRE”), a non-profit that helps youth access fitness by providing no-cost programs and mentorship. We are home to our local chapter, FYR Tectonic. We use community centered training to develop confidence, discipline, and resilience in students so that they are better prepared to overcome adversity in life.
